Healthy apple crumble recipe

Apple crumble is a dessert that has stood the test of time. Traditionally, it’s a classic dessert with a good amount of butter and sugar, but there is no reason why it can’t be healthy, almost healthy enough to eat as a well-balanced, healthy breakfast.

Nothing beats good old-fashioned oats. They are so good for you, are so versatile and instantly improve the nutritional profile of a dish, whether it’s a smoothie, a muffin or a dessert. By making the crumble from predominantly oats, almonds and coconut it transforms this dessert into a high fibre, protein containing, yet still delicious, dessert.

This apple crumble has been made into four individual portions, but can also be made into one large crumble.
